2017 NAIOP COLORADO Event Supports Area Children

DENVER (November 11, 2017) Thursday evening, November 2, NAIOP, (Commercial Real Estate Development Association) Colorado Chapter, held their annual FIGHT NIGHT, presented by Fidelity National Title Group, benefitting Denver Active 20-30 Children’s Foundation, at the EXDO Events Center, RINO (River North), 1399 35th St. in Denver, from 5:30-10:30PM. This Black Tie Optional, Cocktail Chic event is not open to the public.

Major sponsors First American Title Insurance Company, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, TRANSWESTERN and Land Title Guarantee Company, helped make this event a more than worthy cause that had been SOLD OUT for quite some time. The commercial real estate industry’s elite enjoyed an evening of tapas, cocktails and boxing entertainment provided by Poor Boys Boxing (Jim Smith).

Continuous passed hors d’oevres, tapas and small plates throughout the night, specialty cocktails, Open Bar (Bottle service for Platinum/VIP sponsors, Photo Booth, Cigar Bar, Outdoor Smoking Lounge with a view of the boxing action along with a wide selection of awesome raffle prizes (raffle benefitting and conducted by Denver Active 20-30 Children’s Foundation Board of Directors), provided those attending unlimited networking and business development opportunities. Add to this already impressive evening a complimentary After Party held at the RINO Beer Garden and you can understand why this event is considered the NAIOP, Colorado Chapter, must attend event of the year!

The Denver Active 20-30 Children’s Foundation, 764 S. Pearl St. in Denver, is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit comprised of over 100 young men that volunteer a substantial amount of time to raise money on behalf of disadvantaged, at-risk youth in our local community. Now in its 30th year, DA20-30 is known for hosting world-class events that combine five-star service and top-tier fun for their guests. At the end of the year, Denver Active 20-30 members perform an extensive grant application and review process that allows them to strategically distribute monies raised during that year back into the community. With 30 years of experience and deep relationships with the charities they support, Denver Active 20-30 ensures the funds raised have the greatest impact on the children they aim to support.

The evening gets even better with 5 professional boxing matches taking center stage, most in attendance enthusiastically prepared to see the main event, featuring ‘White Collar Brawlers’, John ‘Light’s Out’ Schmid and Mitch ‘M’Smashy’ Menashe go at it. The outcome was ‘one for the ages’ with popular ring announcer Al Charron, calling the action.

This event remains one of my personal favorites, the Denver Active 20-30 Children’s Foundation a great program catering to Denver area kids. Special thanks to my good friend Kathie A. Barstnar, Executive Director NAIOP Colorado, for her and her organizations’ continued support of our local children.
