DAC Boxing Night Extravaganza This Friday Night

DENVER (March 12, 2018) The premier fundraiser of the DAC (Denver Athletic Club, 1325 Glenarm Place in downtown Denver) is their annual, ‘Boxing Night Extravaganza’ (formerly St. Paddy’s Day Punch Out), held this Friday evening, March 17, in conjunction with St. Patrick’s Day, where proceeds from the LIVE sports memorabilia auction benefit IMPACT360. The entertainment portion of the festivities are once again provided by Poor Boys Boxing (Jim ‘Smitty’ Smith).

Event Sponsor and Corporate Tables (seating 10) are; Gold Level: $2,500, Silver Level: $2,000, and Bronze Level: $1,600. Included is a delicious surf-n-turf dinner consisting of romaine and mixed field green salad, cornmeal crusted flatiron with cocoa bordelaise, lobster tail vera cruz, brussel sprouts and potatoes au gratin, followed by a triple chocolate mousse torte dessert. Individual Ringside Tables (with dinner) are $175. Floor seating (no dinner) at $55 and $60 with VIP East/West upper deck seats (no dinner) priced at $75 and may be purchased at the door. In addition there will be floor concessions with pizza, hot dogs, pretzels and numerous cash bars. IMPACT360 (formerly Mile High Squash) uses the sport of squash as a gateway to education. Selected students join the program in the sixth grade and continue in the program through age 24. IMPACT360 is a committed partner in the lives of its students and their families, running on two campuses: the Denver Athletic Club campus (1325 Glenarm Pl, Denver, CO 80204, 720-323-3608) and the West Leadership Academy campus that uses cycling as the anchor sport. Students at both campuses receive instruction across the three core content areas of Health & Wellness, Academics, and Life Skills. Each student, regardless of the campus, participate in a minimum of 450 hours of programming per year and over 3200 hours of programming during the course of his or her 13-year commitment. The Life Skills program includes: Mentoring, Financial Literacy, Internships, Community Service, Travel Opportunities, and a Speaker Series. The Health and Wellness program includes: Squash or Cycling, Mental Health Programming, Drug and Alcohol Awareness, Human Development Classes, Fitness and Nutrition Instruction. The Academic Support phase includes: 1-on-1 and Small Group Tutoring, Study Skills Classes, Enrichment in Literacy and Mathematics, and Post-Secondary Opportunities and Preparation. IMPACT360 Executive Director Eric Eiteljorg has manned the post since 2011.

Poor Boys Boxing (Jim ‘Smitty’ Smith) has put together an attractive 6 bout fight card featuring two heavyweight bouts that should have those in attendance on the edge of their seats. If that’s not enough,  strikingly beautiful Ring Card girls are provided by the Diamond Cabaret.
